What Kingdom Are You Looking For?

The awe inspiring chapters in Hebrews which we have fondly labeled the Hall of Faith tells a wonderful tale of past history all for our encouragement and edification.

Hebrews 11: 13- 16, quotes ..."These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Verse 14 ... for they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. Verse 15 ... And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. Verse 16 ... But now they desire a better country, that is a heavenly: wherefore YaHWeH (God) is not ashamed to be called their Elohim (God): for he hath prepared for them a city."

Here we have just touched upon the most awe inspiring subject that stirs the Spirit to take a big leap of faith and look forward to our next dwelling place. These verses in Hebrews point directly to the "new city" that we will soon occupy. It is called the New Jerusalem. A very thought provoking and extended view of the New Jerusalem can be found in the book of Revelations. I know Bible scholars and teachers have made many great dissertations regarding this subject. But, if you will ponder this one thought out of all of them. A very simple, yet profoundly earth shattering thought that can have an explosive impact upon your Christian life right now.

WHAT KINGDOM ARE YOU LOOKING AT ? YES, YOU RIGHT NOW ? YES, ME RIGHT NOW ?

It has seemed like the frantic pace of our technological 'chip' society has propelled even the 'Christian World' into a frenzy of convoluted activities. How can our minds be stayed upon YaHWeH (God)? How can we keep from not being swept along with the currents of our own well organized Christian life with ALL these terrific influences pulling us this way and that way. This earthly domain takes a toll upon our souls and we suffer in some of its consequences. At times so burdensomely caught up in keeping up, that our possessions and needs outweigh our spiritual treasures being stored for us in heaven.

The only possible answer lies in seeking THE answer. This is not any quick solution, yet once revealed it is just that quick! If you really, really, desire to catch a glimpse of the New Jerusalem, our YaHWeH (God) is faithful. If you really, really, desire an answer, He will answer in His own defined way just for you! Until we are secure (and might I add 'secured') in our 'walk of faith' we will continue to stumble blindly at times. Until, we have poured out our soul's ambitions and submitted to the 'higher calling' we will continue to run as if to escape. But, the only place we will eventually run to, is into YaHWeH's arms once again. Our very breath will be undone, without His Breath of Life flowing into us second by second.

Oh, the wonder of this New City! This City of Perpetual Light. The City of our YaHWeH (God). The dwelling place of our Yahshua (Jesus). Our Home Sweet Home. Oh, the shining beauty and majesty that emanates from His Throne. Our emancipation awaits as our soul delight as it comes into view. Catch a glimpse and allow your soul to dwell a moment in its glory. Catch a glimpse and allow your spirit to soar to its new heights. Yes to the New City. The City of hope and pure righteousness. The City of beautiful peace. The City where all tears and earthly toils disappear. The City where all sickness and troubles flee away. The City created for you and me! The City called the New Jerusalem.
